Lets just say 2017 was a year of trial and errors in the beauty department for me. My face and I have an on going war full of good and bad days. And guess what…I finally found a few items that helped me win the war! Although I don’t want to jinx it, it seems we are on the same page as 2018 begins. These beauty-not so-secrets make me want to scream from the tops of buildings (of happiness of course.) Without further ado, let me introduce these stunning items!

I had heard people talk about the product Thayers Natural Remedies Witch Hazel Aloe Vera formula through the grape vine but it took me a while to try it because honestly, I didn’t believe the hype. And let me tell you… the hype was real! This product is something you use after washing your face to get off the excess makeup and dirt thats collected throughout the day. Use it before any acne treatments and lotions. (Get ready to be amazed!)

Is it a favorites post without a Lush product? It could be but it wouldn’t be a favorite post by me! I found this face mask while Christmas shopping and it will continue to be a regular of mine. Bonus it will make you look like Shrek while you have it on. The 1,000 Millihelens jelly facemask is not only fun but also effective.

I have never been much of a serum user (purely because I hate delaying my bedtime routine… I mean who doesn’t love crawling in their cozy bed after a long day?) BUT, the m-61 Vitablast C Serum is well worth the extra step! I have found while using it that scaring and redness on my face have been reduced. It also makes my skin look brighter, everyone needs this stuff.

I got onto the brand m-61 this past year and it was the best thing to happen to me (I mean like seriously). My goal is to try everything they have (I’m working on getting the cash first…). For now though, I will stick with the necessities like the PowerSpot Pad. These will clear up any spots you have as quickly as you got them! Okay, maybe not that fast but pretty dang fast.

Everyone needs a good face moisturizer. The SkinCeuticals Daily moisture does the trick for dry or combination skin. It has saved me this whole winter and it will continue to save my skin through the other months.

I have saved the best for last!! I have what some would call a case of the dry lips and have been searching for the perfect Chapstick for the past 19 years (I get that sounds dramatic but I’m so serious you guys). I am proud to say I have FINALLY found it! It’s the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E.
So that’s a wrap… Let’s do a synchronized “Cheers” to a great 2017 and always remembering that what is coming is better than what is gone. Here’s to 2018 being the best year, filled with many new beauty adventures.
XX Love, Mc Kenzie
