Ah lets talk about a crowd favorite today… mascara. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect combo of mascara and guys I think I’ve found it! I don’t know why but I feel like every girl has gone through this at one point or another. And, if you haven’t then honestly lucky you because it’s probably saved you so much money in the long run! I’m talking about the search for the perfect mascara! I’ve been on this hunt F O R E V E R, especially when I was younger I used to buy every drugstore mascara known to man. I would layer them in hopes of getting the perfect long lash, when in reality it probably just gave me some extremely clumpy lashes. I can now say with confidents that I am over the hump in beauty and have stepped it up (by that I literally mean I am now capable of doing the bare minimum with success LOL)!! I no longer try to layer like seven different mascaras to get what I want.. NOW I only wear three LOL (yeah, I know thats still more than one.. I can’t change entirely right?!). Look, I don’t always use all three at once (unless I’m really trying to take some time on my makeup) but these are my three go to’s that look great together but can also be worn separately!
The first one I’m talking about is the Tart Opening Act Lash Primer (okay I lied above.. you really can’t wear this one by itself, unless white eyelashes are your thing). Okay so I knew prepping your skin was a thing before face makeup but I did NOT know prepping your eyelashes before putting mascara on was a thing. I watched my cousin do this one time and was shook (yes, I hate the word shook but it applies so effortlessly here), I was like “wait, that’s something I have to try! Why have I never seen that before??” So naturally, I literally ran (okay I drove… but fast) to Ulta, picked it up, paid for and went home took off my already existing mascara and tried it! I never go a day without wearing this sucker now!!!
Next – if we’re going in order of mascaras I would use all together – would be the Two Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, of course. But, I actually didn’t like this at first and then I recently picked it back up. Now, I really loved it!! For some reason I thought when I first put it on it was like really clumpy. Know it just makes my lashes look really long and luxurious, which who doesn’t love long and luxurious lashes!
And lastly, the one I’ve always stuck with is the Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara by Tart. Look this is 2018 and I just have to put it out there, I do love the look of this packaging BUT it low-key looks like a tampon…. you’re welcome for that visual!! Back to the actual mascara it is my go to with the three, or just if I want to be lazy and/or chill and only apply one mascara this is my fav by itself. It just gets a really good low-key clumpy but natural look, if you don’t like the semi clumpy look then I would just do the Better Than Sex on its own.
Even though these are the mascaras that I have personally found work amazing together I am always ready to switch it up. Mascara is about the only beauty thing that I do change, everything else I have my favorite makeup items that work and I stick to them mostly! But, with mascara I always like the challenge of change so if you guys have something better you like, honestly leave a comment and I will try it!
